MTN Tarrif Plan Migration Codes And Benefits

Over the past week, we’ve taken a look at the Glo and 9mobile prepaid plans respectively. In case you are reading this and you still do not have an idea what a prepaid plan is, you should check out one of those posts. In this article, we are going to look at the prepaid plans of MTN, their benefits, call rates and migration codes. If you are a MTN user, you should relax and  enjoy this article.

MTN TARRIF PLANS AND THEIR MIGRATION CODES

1. MTN XTRASPECIAL

MTN Xtraspecial charges its subscribers 15kobo/sec on a flat rate to all networks in Nigeria with no daily access fee. To migrate, dial *408# and select 1 or send 408 to 131.

2. MTN BETATALK

This is a plan that gives MTN subscribers 250% bonus on every recharge of N100 and above + 10MB data.The 150% bonus will be awarded on every recharge below N100. Call made within the country are charged at 40kobo/sec. To migrate to this plan, simply dial *123*2*6# or you can text ‘BT’ to 131.

3. MTN XTRAVALUE

This plan provides a bundle that gives you a  combination of a huge airtime for voice calls and a staggering amount of data. The xtravalue bundles are available in only two categories which are;

  • XtraTalk bundles – This bundle offers more airtime than data,
  • XtraData bundles – This bundle offers more data than airtime.

Since we are only focused on tarrif plans which has to do with call rates we know that is only advisable to go for the XtraTalk bundle. Charges for this plan are made for on and off-net bundles so charges will be high. To buy this bundle dial *123*2*4*1#.

4. MTN PULSE

MTN just recently re-launched the MTN Pulse plan formerly known as MTN iPulse which allows you to make calls at the rate of 15kobo/sec or 11kobo/sec after spending 40k/sec for the 1st minute to any MTN number. The 15kobo/sec is applicable to those who made outside campus. While the 11kobo/sec is applicable for those who made calls in the campus, which comes after making the 1st call of 40kobo/sec to an MTN number. This is one of the best tarrif plan that MTN has to offer. You get Happy Hour Night Browsing at N25 a day, 100% data bonus on the purchase of the weekly 500MB data bundle. Music streaming on Music Plus which is N10 per day, data bonus on recharge, flat-rate 11kobo/sec for a locally made calls after spending N10 daily, plus other life-enriching products and services from MTN. To migrate to this plan, dial *406# or simply text 406 to 131.
