MTN South Africa has launched a new Voice Over LTE service on its network in South Africa. This service is branded as HD voice and it will be available starting from today.
MTN SA said in a statement, “The HD Voice service will allow customers to benefit from voice calls in clear, natural-sounding HD Voice on MTN’s LTE network – coupled with a faster call connection time.
Not all smartphone devices support this new innovation from MTN, but you can udate your smartphone to the latest software update to enjoy this feature. Also, MTN will give all their customers who partake in the software update, 1GB data as a complimentary gift.
The Voice Over LTE service will be carried out in two phases. The first phase will start this month of September, supporting Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S8+, Huawei P20 Lite, Sony Xperia XZ2 and CAT S61 devices. While the second phase will commence next month as it will include additional support for more smartphones.
