There have been lots of complaints concerning MTN data plans being expensive, even down to the night plans. We all are aware that night plans tend to offer more data at a cheap price in all networks but no one can include MTN in this scenario.
There was a time, last month or two months ago, when MTN decreased the amount of data for their night plan bundles to 125MB for N25 & 250MB for N50. I should believe that this made them lose more data subscribers, but since they had the MTN mPulse plan, I believe that they didn’t feel any remorse. Now that the mPulse plan is in an unbalanced situation, they must have believed that it is high time to bring back their customers.
Hopefully, in a bid to make that come to pass, the South African-owned telecom operator has increased the amount of allocated data to their night plan. At the moment, you can get 250MB for N25 & 500MB for N50 on MTN night plan bundle. The data is believed to last for a between the time frame of 12AM – 5AM on subscription.
One major disappointment is that, only MTN Pulse users can subscribe to this plan. If you are not on MTN Pulse tariff plan, you can migrate to the plan by dialing *406#. After migration has been complete, send the following codes to purchase any night plan of your choice.
- 250MB for N25 – text NT1 to 131.
- 500MB for N50 – text NT2 to 131.
Please leave a comment if it worked for you, and also you can feel free to tell us your experience with the night plan.
