Growing your blog, means that your site must use codes. Before you can apply for Google AdSense, you need to insert a special code after the <head> tag of your website, and then apply. This makes you edit your theme files by going to your functions.php, look for the <head> tag and paste the code there. Thanks to plugins and WPBeginner, we do not need to stress ourselves when inserting codes to our blog.
How to insert codes into WordPress blog
First of all, you need to download Insert Headers and Footers plugin. If you do not know how to install plugins on WordPress, then I advice you to checkout this post – How to install plugins on WordPress.
After activation, you will be able to access the plugin through the dashboard. Just click on Settings>>Insert Headers and Footers. On the new window, you will see a column titled Settings and underneath it are two space bars. These space bars are titled Scripts in Header and Scripts in Footer. The name says it all.
If you want to place a code before the </head> tag of your blog, simply place the code in the Scripts in Header space and save. If you want to place a code before the </body> tag of your blog, simply place the code in the Scripts in Footer space and save. It works in both ways.
